Advancing the understanding of Alzheimer's disease and related tauopathies.
Shelby Meier, B.S.
Ph.D student
Shelby graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors in Science in 2015. After years of studying to go to medical school, she realized she’d rather be in the lab. Since then, she’s been involved in as many projects as possible. Her current interests include the role of PERK in traumatic brain injury and the role of tau in protein translation. Outside of the lab she enjoys running, baking, and traveling (particularly to places with warm climates!).
